Additionally, University of Fairfax holds state authorizations or registrations in several states and is an approved SARA (State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement) institution. The University is thus able to enroll students from all U.S. states, as well as international students.

University of Fairfax is currently engaged in the Middle States Commission on Higher Education‘s (MSCHE) process for determining its eligibility for accreditation (pre-accreditation). MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
